What is the Compact?
The Council of State Governments (CSG) is partnering with the Department of Defense (DoD) and The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) to support the mobility of licensed dietitians through the development of a new interstate compact. This additional licensing pathway will facilitate multistate practice among member states and reduce the barriers to license portability.
Compact Website
The Council of State Governments has a website that includes updates, F&Qs, a Fact Sheet, and more.

Academy President’s Message for Members
The field of nutrition and dietetics has evolved considerably since the early 1900s and we have become recognized providers of Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT). But we continue to struggle to grow our reputation as a profession and expand the provision of MNT. Since September 2023, the Academy’s Board of Directors has had a series of discussions to assess the current state and future directions for the Academy.
