Dietitian Licensure Compact Update
This summer, the Compact Commission will convene for the first time to participate in initial training. In the fall, the Commission will hold its first official meeting to begin developing rules and initiate discussions on the compact’s data system. The rules adopted by the Commission must follow a regulatory process, which includes a public comment period and a formal hearing.
To develop the compact database, the Commission will need to issue a request for proposals (RFP), select a vendor, and collaborate with that vendor to design a system that meets the operational needs of the compact.
Given these necessary steps, it is anticipated that it will take at least 12 to 18 months before the Commission is ready to begin issuing compact privileges.
We will post updates as available. You can continue to follow along on the Compact Website.
