What is OKAND?

We are a state affiliate of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Our membership consists of over 500 individuals, including Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDN) and Nutrition and Dietetics Technicians (NDTR), nutrition professionals and students. Founded originally as the Oklahoma Dietetic Association, the name was changed to the Oklahoma Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in 2012.

Who Can Join?

The Oklahoma Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is an group for registered dietitian nutritionists, retired practitioners and students, as well as other certified professionals. 

What is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionists?

A Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDN) is a food and nutrition expert who has completed a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, completed an ACEND-accredited supervised practice program, passed a national examination, and completed continuing professional education requirements.

What is a Nutrition and Dietetics Technicians?

Nutrition and Dietetics Technicians (NDTR) are educated and trained nutrition professionals who provide food and nutrition services. They are required to complete specific degree and dietetics coursework, pass a national credentialing examination, and complete continuing education.

Our Board members are the foundation of our Oklahoma chapter. They plan our events, including the annual Spring Convention, webinars, and National Nutrition Month celebrations. They are committed to serving the Oklahoma community and each position volunteers their time and talent.
