Position Overview

The CRAFT Dietitian serves as the subject matter expert (SME) in operational dietetics, delivering comprehensive nutritional support to optimize the health, resilience, and performance of U.S. Air Force aircrew. This role involves developing curriculum, conducting individualized consultations, and integrating performance nutrition into the broader human performance training framework.

Key Responsibilities
Service Delivery: Provide individualized and group-based dietary guidance tailored specifically to aircrew performance requirements.
 
Curriculum Development: Develop and deliver performance nutrition content for Human Performance (HP) syllabi and courseware.
 
Operational Integration: Spend at least 20% of duty hours in flying squadrons, flight rooms, or aircrew spaces to foster rapport and engagement with warfighters.
 
Clinical Assessments: Conduct clinical-level nutritional assessments, review patient records, and document findings in the Military Treatment Facility (MTF) electronic health record.
 
Data Management: Enter clinical and non-clinical encounters into the CRAFT system of record within 72 hours of service.
 
Maintenance: Perform weekly cleaning and sanitization of all nutrition-related workspaces and equipment in accordance with medical infection control standards.
 
Collaboration: Participate in quarterly domain-specific synchronization calls and work with the Site Lead and Domain Lead to refine program delivery.

Requirements

Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree from a program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of full-time experience as a Dietitian.
Certification/Licensure: * National Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential.
Current certification in basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Security: Must possess at a minimum a favorably adjudicated Tier 3 (T3) security investigation.
Specific Training: Completion of the CRAFT Dietetics Qualification Course upon onboarding.
